我最近组织了一个关于非营利组织能怎样有效利用YouTube视频网站的网络研讨。因为这个问题已具有前所未有的重要性。４年前，当YouTube 网站刚开办的时候，它的视频效果不够理想，观众群也远没有现在这样庞大，而在网站上播出的由业余爱好者摄制的影像资料中，有关让我们的世界有所改变的内容似乎完全没有立足之地。
当今世界，事物的变化日新月异，YouTube网站在近几年发展得如此迅速，与其早期相比简直不可同日而语。它的改变不是三言两语可以说完的，这里要提到的是其节目品质和用户管理水平得到了提升，人们期望在YouTube中找到的信息和怎样与之互动也有所改变.

3.YouTube非营利项目最大的好处是可链接性：在影像资料的任何地方都可以链接到你们的网址。“现在就来捐赠吧！”或者”请在请愿书上签名!”都可以成为非常有效的链接。而且，YouTube有潜力促成参与。(你在这儿就可以看到它是如何进行的)
4.你没有借口不赶快行动起来：就算你缺乏预算，时间紧迫，你也可以在YouTube上开设一个栏目并把影像资料放在其中。你可以用你们以前就有的视频，也可以用经过再次诠释的视频，还可以用傻瓜摄像机或其它低成本产品制作视频。
5.花些时间浏览一下非营利组织的视频资料：也许从中你就能受到启发，找到自己可以做的事情。很可能你碰巧就会发现完全符合你的观点的东西。赞美他们，复制他们的方法。
6.在你的YouTube栏目中装满来自不同非营利组织的为你所需的节目吧：网上有很多可以为你代言的视频资料。借助它们的力量。有YouTube新的栏目设计，你还可以把它们列为你的栏目一览表。
